Would you buy a sweatshirt for $129.00? Well
depends on the designer, the style of the sweatshirt, and how comfortable it is
right?
Well what if it was a sweatshirt that had the words "Kent State
University" on it, but also what appears to look like blood spatter?
That
might not be too bad right, but the problem is that on May 4, 1970, four
students were killed and nine others were injured at Kent State University in
Ohio after National Guard soldiers opened fire on protesters demonstrating
against the Vietnam War.
Kent State University had the following to say about
the sweatshirt: "This item is beyond poor taste and trivializes a
loss of life that still hurts the Kent State community today." Since then
Urban Outfitters have taken down the sweatshirt off their website.
